Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information VR Battle League collects, why, and what your rights are. We keep this short because we collect very little. VR Battle League is a Manchester-based events business. If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].
Who we are
VR Battle League Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16559364), runs competitive mixed-reality VR events and tournaments. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for the information described here. We operate from 109 Corporation Street, Manchester, M4 4DX, and we are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office.
What we collect and why
- This website sets no cookies of its own and has no login or contact form. You can browse it without giving us any personal information.
- Tournament sign-ups. When you enter a tournament you pay through Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe collects your name, mobile number and payment details on its own secure checkout and shares your name and contact details with us so we can run the event and reach you about it. We never see or store your full card details.
- Enquiries. If you email or message us on WhatsApp, we keep that conversation so we can reply and organise your event.
- Photos and video at events. We film and photograph our events, including player point-of-view footage, and may use it to promote VR Battle League. If you would rather not appear, tell a member of staff on the day and we will do our best to keep you out of shot or remove you from anything we publish.
Analytics
We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages they look at. It is privacy-first, does not use cookies, and does not track you across other websites or build a profile of you.
Third-party content
Some pages include content from other services, and those services may set their own cookies or collect data under their own policies:
- Instagram feed. Our recent clips are shown through an embedded Instagram feed, which may set cookies from Instagram or the widget provider.
- YouTube. Our event video uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which does not store information about visitors unless they press play.
- Stripe. Payments are handled entirely on Stripe's own secure pages.
We do not control these services. Please see their own privacy policies for full detail.
How long we keep it
We keep booking and enquiry information only as long as we need it to run the event and meet our legal and tax obligations, then we delete it.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with the providers that make the service work, such as Stripe for payments and Cloudflare for hosting, and where the law requires it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we will respond. If you are not happy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
