These terms apply when you book VR Battle League for an event or take part in one of our tournaments. By booking or entering you agree to them. If anything is unclear, contact us at [email protected] before you book.
Who we are
VR Battle League Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16559364. We run competitive mixed-reality VR events and public tournaments from 109 Corporation Street, Manchester, M4 4DX.
Bookings and payment
- Tournament entries are bought online through Stripe, our payment provider. Your place is confirmed once payment is complete.
- Event and activation bookings for venues and brands are agreed by email and confirmed in writing before the date is held.
- Prices are as quoted at the time of booking. Tournament entry prices are shown on the Stripe checkout.
Cancellations and refunds
- If we cancel or reschedule a tournament, you can choose a full refund of your entry or a place at the rearranged date.
- If you can no longer attend, contact us as soon as you can. Because our tournaments run on a set date, entries are non-refundable within 7 days of the event, but we will always try to move you to another date or let you pass your place to someone else.
- Please note that for tickets to events on a specific date, the usual 14-day online cooling-off period does not apply under UK consumer law.
Taking part
- Our events involve real physical movement while wearing a VR headset. You take part at your own risk. Please follow all instructions from our staff, stay inside the marked play area, and stop if you feel unwell, dizzy or unsafe.
- You should not take part if you are pregnant, have a heart condition, epilepsy, a condition affected by flashing lights or motion, or are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If in doubt, speak to us first.
- Younger players are welcome. Children must have a parent or guardian with them, supervising, for the whole session. Anyone under 18 takes part with the consent of a parent or guardian.
- You are responsible for any loss or damage you cause to our equipment through misuse.
Photography and filming
We film and photograph our events, including in-headset point-of-view footage, and may use it to promote VR Battle League. If you would rather not appear, tell a member of staff on the day. See our privacy policy for more.
Fair play
We want everyone to have a good time. We may remove anyone from an event, without a refund, for abusive, dangerous or unfair behaviour, or for not following staff instructions.
The Map Builder
Our free Map Builder is an unofficial community tool provided as is. Maps you create are your own. We are not responsible for the availability of the tool or for any content shared through it.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the booking.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.
